Holy Hour for Marriage

The special events that the Diocese traditionally hosts each fall to celebrate anniversary couples had to be canceled due to COVID-19 restrictions. But couples marking milestone anniversaries will still be affirmed throughout October when the diocesan Department of Evangelization and Family Life will share special resources on its Facebook and webpages, each geared toward first, 25th and 50-plus anniversary couples. The capstone of this special tribute will take place Oct. 25, from 3 to 4 p.m., with a Holy Hour for Marriage that will be live videostreamed from Nativity Church, Fair Haven.

The event will be held outdoors, weather permitting, with Father James Grogan, pastor, presiding. A small, representative gathering of invited anniversary couples will be in attendance in observance of safety protocols, but the entire diocesan community is encouraged to take part virtually via the livestream.
