The week of February 1-5th was a national week of celebrating Catholic schools and the contributions they have made to our country. We were happy to join in and celebrate our academic excellence, commitment to service, and faith formation. Each day included a different activity, such as a Dress Down Day to collect donations for Mount Carmel Guild, creating Valentines for a local nursing home, an afternoon movie, virtual Bingo, the Honor Society Induction Ceremony, and watching the Catholic Schools Week mass led by Bishop O’Connell. Each day affirmed the positive effect our school has on our community, as well as the importance of our faith and serving others. We have found that even with the restrictions and protocols placed on us by COVID-19, we can still make a difference. That is the beauty of a Catholic school—even a pandemic doesn’t change who we are.
As with all previous Catholic Schools Weeks, the registration process for the 2021-2022 school year has begun. If you have a child ready for Pre K 3 through 8th grade and you are looking for a Catholic education (or you know someone who does), now is the time to register. Please stop by the school office to pick up a packet or check our website at www.olsschool.us for more information. Private tours are available after school hours, so please call if you would like to visit us (609-587-4140). Stay well, and know that you are in our daily prayers!
