Hospitality Committees

Our parish has two hospitality committees, one for each church location. The goal of these committees is to provide a festive and welcoming atmosphere in which people who see each other at Mass can get to know each other better, fostering a true sense of community.

Beginning this year, we will still hold our Welcome/St. Martha Sundays monthly, but they will alternate on the second Sunday of each month between our two parish churches. This change is to help our many volunteers who devote much time in preparing these enjoyable Sunday morning refreshments. Mark your calendars to join us after the listed Mass.

St. Martha Sundays (at St. Anthony Church)

The St. Martha Sunday Hospitality Committee provides the refreshments offered after the 9:30 Mass on St. Martha Sundays. If you would like to join the St. Martha group, please contact Sr. Ruth Durfee, at 393-7582, or 731-5798.

For inquiring minds...for some years, St. Anthony Parish called its "Welcome Sunday" "St. Martha Sunday." This is because it was St. Martha who was the Lord's hostess, welcoming him to her home in Bethany.

Our Lady of Sorrows Hospitality Committee

The hospitality committee for Our Lady of Sorrows Church provides the refreshments offered after the 8:00 and 11:00 Masses on Welcome Sunday.
