EDUCATION PHILOSOPHY
Our educational philosophy is
a well -rounded program, which encourages growth in
spirituality, emotions, academic development, and social skills.
Our combinations of work and play, nurturing and encouraging,
loving and guiding, respecting and sharing each unique child and
their needs makes our early childhood goals fun, appropriate and
child-centered. This philosophy is reflected in our daily
curriculum where our activities are fun-filled with creativity
and build in room for growth while respecting the needs of each
child’s individuality and pattern of development.
DISCIPLINE POLICY
Discipline is a tool, which
helps children learn about a positive self-image when they are
guided with love and care to make the appropriate decisions. Our
focus is to "redirect" the children in a positive way without
hurting, showing or generating shame or guilt. Discipline is
encouraging a child to "choose" to do what is right. It is not
MAKING a child do what is right. Recognizing feelings is
an important part of making the appropriate decision. We use a
"How do you feel?"chair. This gives the children a place to
think about how they feel and what they can do about it.
Providing the children with an
opportunity to recognize their feelings and setting gentle
limits show our children that we love and care for them.
