ADOPT-A-CHILD, ADOPT-A-FAMILY FOR CHRISTMAS

For many years, our parish was blessed with a wonderful model of Christian discipleship,
Deacon Joseph Malloy. Joe preached many homilies on how to live as Christians, but his most powerful homilies were those he preached without using any words at all. Joe put his faith into action through his tireless work with Martin House and the Mount Carmel Guild, and each Christmas, he invited us to join him in living out our Gospel values by sharing with those less fortunate than ourselves. The Social Justice/Social Concerns Committee wants to keep Joe’s memory and his example alive by continuing the Adopt-a-Family program.

St. Francis of Assisi said, “For it is in giving that we receive.” Your participation in our program surely will bring the true meaning of Christmas into your life and brighten your sense of joy. May you and all your family be abundantly blessed at Christmas and throughout the coming year.

Please fill out the form below and select the number of children to whom you can give.

We will send you your “adopted” family, including the name, age and size of each child.

We ask that you buy (1) toy and (1) item of clothing for each child.
Please wrap the gifts and label them with the child’s name and your assigned donation number

The gifts are to be brought to the OLS School cafeteria on Sunday, Dec 14th,
from 1PM to 3PM.

For additional information you can contact us at adopt@ols-sa.org.
